Fantastic food tour with Buddhima!
The market and fruit were a particular highlight. She knows where all the best places are for specific dishes and has great knowledge to answer all your questions on Food, Kandy and beyond.

Buddhima was a wonderful guide — we did a food tour with her in Kandy and it was such a great experience. She was incredibly kind and showed us so many local foods, and we got to try a lot of different things. We visited a fruit stall where we could taste anything we wanted, and we also went to the Women’s Market, which was really special.
We also got to try special local dishes like dolphin kottu (a parotta fry) — so unique and absolutely delicious!
Everything we ate was delicious and the selection was amazing — a must-do if you’re in Kandy. This tour is still one of my highlights from Sri Lanka, and honestly some of the best food I had on the whole trip. I’m very grateful to Buddhima for introducing me to traditional dishes I would never have discovered on my own. Highly recommended!

Buddhima is an amazing guide. We got to taste so many amazing foods and ate at multiple different places. All which were fantastic! I can't recommend this tour enough. She is a wealth of information and a kind and caring person.

Buddhima is super kindy and funny. We had great laughs during her food tour. We have done a lot in Kandy but we will remember her tour the most. What a great experience that we recommend to everyone! Thank you! Buddha bless you. 🪷

A long overdue review - but I still need to write this to share my adventure in Sri Lanka back in July with Buddhima...
My family trip, a 10-day circular route from Colombo, through the mountains, Kandy, the train to Ella, then down to the ocean of Galle before back to Colombo, was definitely one fo the best trips in my life. I am a vivid traveller so honest speaking I seldom hire a guide (I travelled 55 countries across Europe, Americas, Asia-Pac and couple places in Africa), but this time I think I made a right choice with Buddhima.
Her experience and hospitality made my journey enjoyable and informative. WIth a 12yo with me, besides the tourist encounters we also went to a rural village to let my boy to see something different from his daily life - thanks to Buddhina's connections and enthuaism, we saw this beautiful country in different ways - not just being tourists, but also adventurers.
Sri Lanka - a place in my "go again" list, and definitely I will have Buddhima to show me again!

Must do! Her foodtour was one of the highlights of my trip in Sri Lanka. Buddhima is very friendly and takes you to places you normally wouldn’t visit as a tourist

Great tour covering all the street food in town. Buddhima was a very friendly tour guide who took a lot of care to meet our dietary needs (vegetarian) and to generally be flexible to the groups interest.

Absolute highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka! My mum and I spent the day with Buddhima exploring a local street food market, a food market in the centre of Kandy and cooking with her and her mum in her home. It was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Buddhima is so knowledgeable and made sure we tried all the local foods. She knew all the best places to go and the food we cooked with her was delicious. Her family welcomed us so warmly into their home. Buddhima is so friendly and caring, even making sure we had a little snack for the tuk tuk ride from the market to her home. I'm only sorry I didn't meet her sooner or I would have done a whole tour of sri lanka with her. Can't recommend her highly enough.

The Food Tour with Buddhima was excellent! We learned so much about the Food, the culture and the people. The food was absolutely delicious and we tried so many different things - Snacks, fruits, main dishes, Desserts, Drinks ... Buddhima is a lovely and uncomplicated company and loves talking and sharing her knowledge. Highlight for us was the market and the fruit Tasting.

Buddhima took us on an amazing food tour around Kandy! We got to try so many tasty dishes (we were all very full by the end!). Buddhima was a great tour guide and made sure to personalise the tour to our interests. She was super friendly and knowledgeable - we learnt a lot, not just about Sri Lankan cuisine but also history and culture. Highly recommend!

We spent the most brilliant day with Buddhima. Her English was excellent and her knowledge second to none, but most importantly it was a warm and fun experience. Not only did we learn all about Sri Lankan history, religion and culture we also got an amazing insight into day to day Sri Lankans. We combined the highlights of Kandy with a food tour and it was definitely the best day of our trip so far and will be very difficult to beat. Don’t miss a tour with Buddhima.

We were able to get to know Sri Lanka off the beaten tourist track, far away from mass tourism and inflexible schedules/programs, thanks to the wonderful Buddhima.
It all started with the planning, Buddhima found out what our interests were at the beginning and then put together an unforgettable trip for us.
Our round trip took us from Colombo to the highlands and finally to the sea. We saw tea plantations, temples, went on a safari and enjoyed the endless sandy beaches
During the whole time she was eager to show us the beauties of Sri Lanka.
We particularly liked the fact that Buddhima has a great knowledge of the history and traditions of her country. Coupled with her excellent knowledge of English, her numerous trainings and her friendly nature, we were able to experience an unforgettable trip.
